In Sewing 2, you’ll put your new sewing skills into practice by making your **first sewing project: a tote bag**. This beginner-friendly, hands-on class will guide you through the process of taking fabric pieces and turning them into a finished project you can take home and be proud of. In this class, you’ll learn: 🧵 **Prepare Your Project** — Understand your project pieces, fabric layout, and sewing order. 📏 **Seam Allowances & Accuracy** — Learn how to follow a seam allowance and sew accurately. 🪡 **Sewing Seams** — Practice joining fabric pieces together and creating strong, clean seams. ✂️ **Corners & Turning** — Learn how to sew corners, turn your project right side out, and create clean edges. 👜 **Create Your Tote Bag** — Construct your first finished sewing project from start to finish. 🧺 **Pressing & Finishing** — Learn how pressing helps create a polished, professional-looking project. 🔧 **Troubleshooting** — Build confidence fixing common beginner mistakes as they happen. Your goal for Sewing 2: By the end of class, you’ll have completed your **first handmade project—a tote bag!** More importantly, you’ll have practiced the fundamental sewing techniques you’ll use again and again as you move on to larger and more challenging projects. **Perfect for:** Students who have completed Sewing 1 or already have basic sewing machine experience.
